Molti sono i ruoli che ha ricoperto nella vita delle sue clienti, ma, al secolo, Louis Alexandre Raimon ha soprattutto cambiato il modo di intendere il mestiere di acconciatore , elevandolo a livelli di perfezione mai raggiunti prima. Tra i suoi lavori più celebri troviamo gli chignon e numerosi tipi di intrecci creando delle vere e proprie forme d'arte.

Il suo stile innovativo fu apprezzato sia nel cinema che nella moda, da Coco Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Hubert de Givenchy, Christian Dior, Karl Lagerfeld, Jean-Paul Gaultier, che si avvalsero della sua creatività per valorizzare i loro abiti. Fra le affezionate clienti, invece, si contavano Romy Schneider, Maria Callas, Audrey Hepburn, Liza Minelli, Greta Garbo, Sophia Loren, Grace Kelly e la duchessa di Windsor. E, nel 1963, De Paris creò quello che, forse, è l’hairstyle più famoso del cinema: la pettinatura di Elizabeth Taylor in Cleopatra.

Così Intercoiffure, l’associazione di parrucchieri più antica al mondo, di cui Alexandre de Paris fu presidente dal 1978 al 1993, ha deciso di svelare parte dei suoi bozzetti originali , disegni a matita delle acconciature da lui create, che, alla morte dell’hairstylist, nel 2008, furono affidati a Sergio Russo, e in seguito donate a ICD Italia. La mostra è ospitata nelle sale dell’Accademia L'Oréal Professionnel di Roma ed è aperta al pubblico fino al 30 giugno.

Zaha Hadid, una mujer con un talento excepcional que rompió esquemas y conquistó territorios tradicionalmente reservados solo para hombres. Fue una de las arquitectas más emblemáticas del mundo y la primera mujer en conseguir el premio más prestigioso de la arquitectura: el premio ?Pritzer?, el Nobel de la arquitectura. De nacionalidad Anglo-iraní, nació en Bagdad pero se fue a estudiar a Londres arquitectura donde vivió toda su vida. Ganaba muchos concursos, pero sus obras no todas eran aceptadas, ya que eran muy futuristas y con un coste elevado de llevar a cabo. Sus formas orgánicas y el color blanco eran su sello de identidad y su inspiración estaba muy vinculada con la naturaleza, reflejada en muchas de sus obras.

Blue Tit, the boutique, London-based salon group, hosted a pop-up salon at the Field Day Festival 2017 this month. Taking residence at the festival for a second year running, the award-winning salon group proved to be a huge hit with festival goers, who were given the chance to try out festival-worthy styles, including braids, buns and glitter. Blue Tit, a salon group known for its creativity and cult-like following, has become synonymous with its festival styling, and frequently hosts pop-up salons at some of the world’s top festivals.

The Field Day Festival brings together many of London’s alternative concert and club promoters to produce a day of music, dancing, and maximum cool-factor, set in London’s heartland at Victoria Park. This year, xx Blue Tit stylists were on hand to offer a menu of festival-worthy styles, especially curated for Field Day 2017. The most sought after services at the pop-up salon were braids and top-knots adorned with glitter, and many of the men opted for ‘Surf Culture’ styles with lots of volume and texture.

The average Spanish consumer spent €147 on beauty products in 2016; a decline of 3% on the average spend of 2015, according to the latest data from the Personal Care Consumer Panel from Kantar Worldpanel, the world leader in consumer panels. In total, 32.5 million consumers, female and male, over the age of 15 have bought one of these products in the last year. The average frequency of purchase is once every three weeks. Most commonly bought products are oral care (24.9 million buyers), hair care (24.7), bath and shower products (21.8) and deodorants (20.9).

The decrease in spending on beauty products can be explained partially by a simplification of beauty and hygiene routines. In 2016, women used an average of 11 cosmetic products a week and men an average of six, in both cases this is one less item than in 2008. The eliminated product has been taken out of morning routines, which is when most products are usually used. Interestingly, shoppers across all age groups have reduced their use, although the biggest drop was in those between the ages of 25 and 44.

This trend has benefitted products that are convenient and have multiple benefits such as micellar water or BB or CC creams. The micellar facial cleansing waters have been bought by over half a million individuals (six times more people than in 2013), while tinted moisturising creams have grown 51% since 2013 and bought by almost two million people in Spain last year.

In response to the industry’s growing need for insight and information from the perfume and cosmetics industry, Kantar Worldpanel has expanded its consumer panel for health and beauty by 67%. Since the first quarter of 2017, purchasing information in this sector has been provided by 20,000 participants, the largest sample of individuals in Spain. This increase provides greater granularity and robustness in analysis, and a more complete view of both the buyer and user.
