The Dance of Time

This is a ballerina's journey told through a haunting series.  Each character represents a phase of struggle and transformation - an ode to the beauty of ballet and hair as an expression of identity.
Hot Mess.
A dancer lost in despair and doubt.  She's struggling and vulnerable.
Her hair becomes chaotic, falling apart.  A symbol of internal collapse.
Shadowed Rival.
Structured hair, symbolising restraint.
She has a quirky edge, everything comes easy to her.  She doesn't find ballet hard.
Passé.
Previously the prima ballerina but her body doesn't work how it used to.  New dancers are taking her spot. She's bitter and wants the worst for her fellow dancers as she realises that stardom is fading away.
Dreamer.
The youngest and quietest.  She is fresh out of dance academy with so much potential.
Dreams of becoming the prima ballerina.  She's underestimated and ignored.  Pure with not a lot of world experience Muse.
She's the teacher's daughter, compared to others and pressured by her Mother.  The muse of many a painter.  She's there because she has to be.
Prima.
The star in her prime. Exuding confidence. She's the girl who gets everything. Zero awareness, living and breathing dance Her hair is sculpted, effortlessly regal.

The Renaissance era was a time of profound cultural, artistic, and intellectual rebirth. It marked the transition from the Middle Ages to modernity, embodying the spirit of exploration, innovation, and transformation. This collection, Renaissance Reimagined: A Rebirth, draws deeply from this period of renewal, reflecting both historical influences and a personal journey of self-discovery. 

 A Journey of Transformation Creating this collection has been an intensely personal experience for me. Much like the Renaissance represented a rebirth in art and thought, this project symbolizes a rebirth of my own artistic expression. Stepping out of my comfort zone, I embarked on a journey to challenge my established ways of thinking and push the boundaries of my creativity. This collection is not just a tribute to the Renaissance era but also a testament to my growth as an artist and an individual.

Inspired by Feminine Strength and Fragility

In the Stone Drop Collection, I wanted to encapsulate the multifaceted essence of the modern woman, symbolising both her strength and her fragility. This duality, present in every layer of her being, manifests itself as a drop of water, transparent and delicate, yet capable of erecting an unquestionable inner power.

Like tapestries and their delicate silk thread embroidery, this advanced technique creates three-dimensional effects on the surface of the hair. Using high-relief techniques, shredded hair achieves the same depth and texture as exquisite tapestry patterns. The characteristics of shredded hair allow it to be manipulated to form raised, crisp and defined areas of leaf, flower and arabesque shapes. Precision of form and choice of base material are crucial in maintaining the structure on a natural hair base, highlighting its technical and artistic complexity.

Inspired by the innovative designs of our talented designer, María Alborés, we have reinterpreted her vision as if her creations were worn by our own clients. For us, hair is not just an accessory; it is an extension of personal style. That's why we consider it essential to create the right proportions, thus integrating the essence and personality of each look, creating a unique symbiosis between fashion and hair.

This collection, presented at Cosmobeauty Barcelona, marks a new chapter in our trajectory, reflecting our passion for fashion and hair. Our recent achievements support our commitment to excellence: winners of the Galardón Revelación Nacional Award in the Women's Commercial category, finalists in Best Fashion Design, and selected in the Live Fashion Hair Awards as Hairdresser of the Year and Colorist of the Year. In addition, we reaffirmed our constant support to Club Figaro, presenting our collections, and we closed the year 2024 being recognized as one of the most inspiring groups of the Spanish scene with our participation in EFFERVESCENE.

Akua invites us to explore a journey through the fascinating world of haircuts and color, embracing styles such as bixie, pixie, shulet, blunt bob, classic bob, shaggy, clavicut, pixie mullet, shaggy midi, butterfly cut, and many more. Haircuts not only define one’s image—they also strengthen the hair fiber by eliminating its fragility.

When it comes to color, the focus is on uniform, radiant tones with no root effect, bringing light, elasticity, and dynamism. Trends introduce enveloping shades like electric cower, moka mouse, vanilla, coffee, marine blondes, frosted browns, and others.
