“We were inspired by the rise of modern Japanese fashion and its influence on future trends.
This collection channels a youthful street sensibility. a fusion of dynamic style, bold statements and unapologetic self-expression. Celebrating individuality, personality and creative freedom, each look explores a spectrum of textures, vivid colours and sculpted shapes.”

“This collection is my reflection of the strong, vivid colour predominately illustrated in the Japanese comic genre. The vision for this collection was born from the concept of Japanese street culture fused with manga influences. Creatively it was a fascinating concept to explore as the history behind this culture is so intrinsically reliant on colour in all its forms but especially the bold! I relished the opportunity to express my creativity with my interpretation of such an exciting and diverse subject.
From melted, blurry pastels to the strong, bold vivid shades. the variation and breadth of the palette really exaggerates and perfectly complements the undone textures of big, soft curls, brushed out dishevelled waves to the clean, blunt lines and smooth, glossy shine.”

There has been so much talk about Pantones colour of 2026 ‘CLOUD DANCER’ and I for one am totally here for it 🤍.
Now, we all know that Pantone predictions aren’t directly aimed at the hairdressing industry nor would we actually want it to be, personally I believe it to have more relevance to fashion, textiles and furnishings but as it’s always a huge buzz over socials I believe to ignore it would be a wasted opportunity.
CLOUD DANCER doesn’t necessarily mean plain white - there are so many variations of white and each provokes a different feeling. Stark white, creamy white, buttery white, pearl white - just to name a few.
For me white is a strong symbol of peace and tranquillity, starting from fresh and new beginnings, calming and soothing, dreamy and day dreaming.
I’m totally a day dreamer and constantly looking up to the sky so CLOUD DANCER it’s a yes from me

“ICHI”, the debut collection from KIKU Salon. Named after the Japanese word for “one,” ICHI marks our first creative expression — a bold meeting point between Scottish strength and Japanese refinement. This collection is a hybrid of cultures, techniques, and textures, rooted in our belief that beautiful hair begins with individuality. Each look in ICHI explores the elegance of natural texture, shaped with precision and intention. From structured silhouettes to softly undone forms, we’ve embraced the character of real hair to create styles that feel both effortless and elevated. Drawing on our international background and local perspective, ICHI reflects the spirit of KIKU: quietly powerful, creatively sharp, and always listening.

‘We wanted a really young, fresh feel that showcased the teams strengths as hairstylists, while also celebrating their youthfulness. The aim was for the collection to pop off the page and instantly capture your attention, it’s a statement piece announcing the birth of these young hairdressers and the exciting start of their careers’.
