Each look magnifies the pull between control and release, polish and rawness. Sleek set against textured, woven against undone, organic against geometric – every contrast becomes a statement. Inspiration - A symphony of personalities and emotions, each style I created incorporated a “variation” of a hidden theme — the unspoken essence of identity.
Every look embodies a different mood and texture, yet all share a unique similarity that binds them together.

“I wanted to create a collection that celebrates imperfections. I wanted hair that felt raw, messy, and as if you’re seeing it mid-transformation. I was inspired by rough edges, ideas unresolved and hair that’s not quite finished. Some looks are soft, some are hard, but they’re all rebelling against the need for everything to be polished for approval.”

The Surreal Collection is a celebration of creativity, skill, and the collaborative spirit of hair and fashion as interpreted by one of Mackinder’s photoshoot classes. Each model’s hair is a piece of art contributing to a dreamlike whimsical state.  Paired with the unbelievable fashion, the images challenge the perception of what is real and possible.  It tells a story yet leaves room for interpretation.

and unraveling. Inspired by the raw edges of fabrics, the collection explores
the beauty found in imperfection and the moments where control gives way to
expression. Each look challenges traditional notions of polish, inviting the
viewer into a world where vulnerability becomes architecture and undone
becomes beauty. The result is a bold tension between control and chaos.
