The UMBALA collection is an ode to the passion for color and fantasy, an artistic manifestation that arises from the creative soul of its author. Each evoked image of nature - the clash of two icebergs, the aurora borealis, the lava of a volcano, and the blooming of a spring meadow - becomes a living canvas where strength and beauty intertwine in a chromatic dance.
In this visual universe, Umbala emerges as a powerful woman, a warrior of aesthetics who challenges conventional limits. Her image is her flag, a bold statement of her unique identity. In every detail of her style, in every shade of her hair, her tireless pursuit to stand out, to transcend the ordinary, and embrace the extraordinary is reflected.
The clash of two icebergs becomes an explosion of cool tones that awaken deep emotions. The aurora borealis unfolds its magic in ethereal shapes and shades, inviting exploration of the infinite range of color possibilities. The volcano's lava burns with intensity, igniting hair with coppery hues that radiate warmth and passion. The blooming of a spring meadow translates into an explosion of life and vitality, with vibrant and fresh tones celebrating the ephemeral and powerful beauty of nature.
With "UMBALA," the author not only creates a hairdressing collection but also a manifesto of passion, freedom, and the constant pursuit of one's own identity.

A collection inspired by Dandyism – a male expression of flamboyancy anddecadence, which was a British movement in the late18th and early 19thcentury. With their style of dress, Dandy’s were seen as forward thinking intheir ideas and have an artistic approach to life.
Debbie G has cut a tight head hugging layered style to create a strongsilhouette.
The top section has been left slightly longer and textured, to addmovement.
The hair was pre-lightened using Schwarzkopf Vibrance and then astrong orange/red was used to make the hair really ‘pop’ and shine. In a truereflection of the spirit of Dandyism, a ‘Crown of Hair’ has been added to showthe playful and flamboyant nature of the movement.
The look is completed with theatrical themed make-up and clothes styling thatis both androgynous and decadent.

“There is nothing like pop culture to make a collection POP!” says Mikelah-Jayde Riley of Mikelah-Jayde Studio in Waikiki, WA.
 “Of course, I’ve added a current twist to styles from the pop art era which started in the Modernist 50s and reached its peak in the 1960s,” Mikelah said.
She said that the looks are commercial and salon-friendly although sometimes exaggerated, but, with the colours capturing the witty, gimmicky fun of these eras.
The 60s sexual revolution allowed women to be less demure and more ‘out there’, so the POP! collection celebrates the emancipation of 60s women and the freedom of Australian women today.
“I deconstructed retro looks and made them into everyday hairstyles with ‘wow factor’ colour for now,” Mikelah said.  
They are for the girls who like to stand out in the crowd and be individuals, rather than conforming to prior conservative tastes.  Those of the generations that went before them.
Social media and mainstream media women/influencers are quite likely to have these attention-grabbing hairstyles for the sake of self-promotion.
High contrast and bold, even over-dramatic colours are the perfect expression for these trailblazers.
