Musical mayhemThe team from Anthony Michael's Hair Salon, Worthing, were on-call to create stunning photo-shoot styles for the cast of the Worthing Muscial Comedy Society, who were starring in the classical musical South Pacific. Looks were based on the iconic song "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Out of My Hair". Armed with lashings of shampoo to create a mass of lather and suds for the local newspaper and generated great publicity for the show and the salon.

Staff from HOB Salons styled 23 tennis players, including British favourites Laura Robson (left) and Heather Watson, for a party hosted by the Women's Tennis Association to celebrate 125 years of Wimbledon. the team created a wide array of look, from plaited updo's to bouncy blow-dries, ensuring the sports stars wowed on the red carpet. Manager of Camden salon, Mary Robertson, commented: "Today has been fantastic, so much so, we ended up styling far more palyers than planned and were able to work with a wide range of different looks".

È stato pubblicato sulla Gazzetta Ufficiale n.163 del 15 luglio 2011, il decreto 12 maggio 2011, n. 110, con il quale il ministro dello sviluppo economico, d'accordo con il ministro della salute, ha adottato, con il decreto interministeriale, il regolamento che aggiorna l'elenco delle apparecchiature elettromeccaniche per uso estetico e ne indica le caratteristiche tecnico-dinamiche, le modalità di esercizio, di applicazione e le cautele d'uso, in attuazione dell'articolo n. 10, comma 1, legge 4 gennaio 1990 n.1. Diventano più rigide le norme per la sicurezza e aumentano le tipologie di apparecchi che dovranno rispettare tali norme, a maggior tutela dei consumatori, ma a vantaggio anche dei produttori e distributori di tali apparecchiature e degli stessi estetisti, che possono ora operare in un contesto normativo certo ed aggiornato. La novità più importante del provvedimento è lo stop all'utilizzo di lampade per l'abbronzatura ai minori di 18 anni, donne in gravidanza, soggetti che hanno sofferto o soffrono di neoplasie e che si scottano con facilità a seguito dell'esposizione a raggi solari.

La sentenza UE: "eBay non vigila sui falsi online"
 
L'Oréal vs cBay
L'ORÉAL ha vinto un ricorso, ora anche altre aziende potrebbero fare lo stesso. È stata una lotta legale tra due colossi: da una parte L'ORÉAL, dall'altra eBay. Il gigante francese dei cosmetici ha portato davanti alla Corte di giustizia dell'Unione europea il mega-sito americano di vendite attraverso annunci economici, fondato nel 1995 e attivo in tutti i continenti attraverso 37 filiali. Ha vinto l'Oréal. Il motivo del contendere? Secodo L'ORÉAL, eBay non avrebbe controllato (e di conseguenza eliminato dal sito) tutti gli annunci in cui venivano venduti prodotti contraffatti. Profumi, creme e altri cosmetici tutto messo all'asta dagli utenti di eBay senza il minimo intervento da parte dei gestori della piattaforma, accusati di aver vigilato poco e male sulle attività legate alla violazione del trademark.

L’Oreal sales hit by slowdown
in US and Eastern Europe

The French cosmetics maker has released its second quarter sales revealing that trading was down in Eastern Europe and North America due to less consumer demand. Sales between April and June reached €4.64bn showing a 4.6 per cent increase on last year, but under the expected growth rate, particularly after a strong first quarter. The biggest slowdown came in Eastern Europe, having recorded a slight growth in this region in the first quarter, reported sales tumbled 8.2 per cent. This has been attributed to the fact that consumer confidence and market dynamism have proved more difficult than expected, particularly in mass-market and the pharmacy channel.Furthermore, in this zone, the cosmetics giant claims the launch phasing tends to be focused on the final months of the year.

Take layers to a higt elevation and point-cut.
