I risultati di un sondaggio sul "trust", ovvero sulla quantità di fiducia che le persone ripongono nei confronti di alcune categorie professionali, ha fatto emergere un dato curioso.

I parrucchieri sono tra i professionisti di cui i clienti si fidano meno. Sarà perché i servizi che promettono non corrispondono a quelli che effettuano. Sarà che "ti taglio solo due cm" quando, in realtà, i centimetri sono sedici. Sarà la qualità non troppo alta dei prodotti utilizzati.

Invertendo l'ordine dei fattori, il risultato non cambia. I parrucchieri ispirano meno fiducia dei giornalisti, che sono noti per gonfiare all'inverosimile le notizie per quei famosi 15 minuti di fama.

Quale sarà, quindi, la loro scusa? Vi terremo aggiornati.

La rivista Plos ha svelato che un farmaco per combattere l’osteoporosi sembra funzionare a meraviglia per stimolare la ricrescita dei capelli. I risultati sono molto incoraggianti, ma sono stati realizzati sui follicoli solo in laboratorio, mentre la sperimentazione sull'uomo non è ancora cominciata.

Il nuovo composto sperimentale interferisce con un proteina che blocca la crescita dei capelli. L’unica alternativa per i pazienti è il trapianto.

Nei test messi a punto da un team dell’università di Manchester, i follicoli piliferi donati da oltre 40 pazienti che si preparavano a un trapianto di capelli sono stati trattati con il farmaco per l’osteoporosi per sei giorni. Sono tornati velocemente in fase attiva ed i capelli hanno cominciato a spuntare.
